Mom and I haven’t been out to the yard sales lately. We still have tons of stuff to sell on Ebay, but I am hoping to find some cute baby clothes that still have tags on them. Some new moms get so many outfits that the baby doesn’t get to wear them all before he/she outgrows them. Baby clothes sell on ebay very well…Guess lots of people purchase baby gifts from there!
If you a husband of son (or maybe even a daugher!) who loves football, I suggest you check out the NFL apparel at sidelineapparel.com. They have a nice selection of team shirts and caps, as well as NFL football jerseys. I would consider buying one of these for my little brother, but he likes our college team, the Bulldogs, better! As athletic as he is, I am sure I can still find something for him at that website.
We are keeping my 4 year old cousin this week, and we went out and did some shopping with him the first night we got him. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a couple of outfits for him. I used to believe I would dress my kids in all name brand clothes, but department stores like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and Target have the cutest baby clothes, and they are so much cheaper! I believe when it’s time for us to have a baby, I will be widening my baby fashion sense to include more affordable clothing!
Yesterday was such a nice day. James and I went down to my aunt and uncle's house for lunch. We got to see my two little cousins. They are so fun to play with, but man, they can wear you out! I ended up falling asleep on the couch while I was there!! I remember back when they were younger, and how much I miss those times...I miss getting to buy them cute little baby clothes and toys, and how they were so easy to babysit. Now, one is 4 and the other is almost 7, so there is no sitting down when you are visiting them! And even though they are bigger, I can still find cute childrens clothes to buy them!
Since I have been selling on Ebay, I have found that clothing sells quite well. I didn't think anyone would want my old clothing, so I was very hesitant to list it. I have noticed that baby clothes and kids clothes tend to sell better than adult clothes. I guess parents are looking for cheap clothing because their children are still growing, and will outgrow things faster. Items that are "new with tags" sell very well on there, so I am thinking about going shopping for some clearance baby clothes...maybe I can profit from them...
Since James and I have been going to the gym, we have had to buy some comfortable, athletic clothes. We went to a sporting goods store the other day, and they had some Michael Jordan clothing that I think would have suited James, but he didn't like it...Sometimes I think he is just too plain! :) He just wanted plain t-shirts and gym shorts. I couldn't even talk him into a jersey, though he does like basketball!
Since James is losing weight, he is soon going to need some new clothes. He has a closet full already, but I guess he will have to get rid of some of the looser fitting things once he gets down to the size he wants to be. We'll probably go get him some new jeans and khakis for work, as well as some golf shirts. He doesn't golf, but they are dressy, so he can wear them to work.
I was thinking today how my clothing style has changed over the years. When I look back at the clothes my mom used to put me, it's hard not to gag. "But there were in style!" is what I always hear when I talk about how hideous some of the things were. I was always a tomboy, so I preferred youth jerseys & apparel over dresses and girly things. I still prefer a t-shirt and jeans over anything dressier, but my clothes has a bit more formal attire than it used to.
I was just browsing online, and came upon SandboxCouture.com. They the cutest baby clothes of just about any place I've seen! Before finding this website, I didn't know you could get some of the designer brands in baby sizes. Quiksilver is the first brand that shocked me. I didn't even know they made clothing for children, let alone baby clothes! The tiny hoodies are just too cute though...I wish I had a little boy to buy one for! I'll just bookmark with site, along with my other baby/parenting site, for when I become a mommy! :)
